Meet Our Physical Therapy Staff

Kelly Cooper, PT

President of the Advanced Work Rehab Center

Kelly Cooper graduated in 1986 from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Kinesiological Sciences. She continued her education at Howard University and graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1992. Her expertise is in Functional Capacity Evaluations, ergonomic assessments, and developing Work Hardening and Work Conditioning programs. Her past experience includes being a program supervisor and assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to get them back to their normal daily routine and work routine. Before coming to the Advanced Work Rehab Center, the majority of Kelly’s work experience had been in treating patients with work injuries and developing return to work treatment protocols. Kelly now heads the Advanced Work Rehab Program working with patients and case managers to coordinate the recovery of the injured worker.

“I have developed a program that caters to every stage of the injured workers recovery process. My goal is to get them back to work in the shortest amount of time so they can resume their normal activities”.

Mohammed Ramadan, PTA

Workers Comp Specialist

Mohammed completed his B.S. in Physical Education in 1990. He taught gymnastics, individual & team sports for Junior high and high school students. To further his knowledge, he decided to pursue his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Northern Virginia Community College, in which he graduated in 2000. He started his PTA career in an inpatient facility and switched to outpatient physical therapy focusing on injured workers rehabilitation. Mohammed developed and headed the return to work and injury prevention program before coming to Advanced Work Rehab. He is fluent in Arabic.


Karen Navas

Bilingual Patient Services Specialist

Experienced and knowledgable with patient coordination in bilingual patient care, Karen Navas responsibility revolves around mediating Spanish speaking patient interaction with transportation, case management, doctors office's, as well as overall patient inquiries and scheduling.
